Day 30: Monday, May 12 Traveling to Monument Valley from Moab, UT
Distance: 150 miles: Time: 2:40
Total Distance to Date: 2,203 miles
Route Traveled: We left the KOA campground in Moab, UT heading south on hwy 191. We turned right onto hwy 163 and into Monument Valley. The campground was called Goulding's Campground on Monument Valley Rd.
Snow on the mountains from the Mother's Day snowstorm. When we stopped for gas in Monticello, UT it was blowing snow. COOL! Then it disappeared, just as quickly.
Beautiful drive.
Isn't this incredible?!
Our first views into Valley of the gods.
Look at these?
Crossing the San Juan River.
Our first views into Monument Valley.
Once we arrived at Monument Valley we found out there was no reliable internet service here. So I have a backlog of pictures and info for several days. There is a wifi at the North Rim grocery store, so that's where I am at the moment. I'll try to post more over the next few days and catch everyone up on what we've been doing.
Thanks!
